Unnati Jhaveri (she/her) is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC #2361) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT). Unnati holds a diploma in Transpersonal Therapeutic Counselling from Clearmind International Institute. Currently Unnati is working towards her Master’s in Counselling Psychology which she will complete in April 2023 from Yorkville University.

Unnati’s approach has a transpersonal foundation with a humanistic and experiential way of working. Together with her client she works towards their goals and letting go of patterns and behaviours that don’t serve them anymore, understanding the nature of their core struggle, meanwhile adopting new perspectives, new approaches, and a fresh way of thinking and feeling.

More about Unnati and her counselling style

Born in Mumbai, India, Unnati moved to Vancouver in her mid-twenties. The transition was not as easy and comforting. Unnati went through a lot of adjustment and rewiring through this time. Initially working in the corporate world as an HR professional led her to becoming a counsellor. It took her 5 years to feel home meanwhile got married which ended up in a divorce, which was a rough experience, but a blessing in disguise. Unnati has been through many ups and downs but has only risen stronger from each experience. Each individual goes through pain and suffering in ways one cannot imagine but there is also hope which Unnati would like to share and instill, meanwhile provide the support that is required.

Unnati is extremely passionate about working with couples, families and individuals. Her life struggles have really helped her to embrace change and learn the art of acceptance and letting go through understanding and adapting to various therapeutic tools. Her goal is to help others feel as empowered and comfortable in their skin as she feels in hers despite of the many struggles and difficulties.

The times we are living in can be overwhelming and challenging. Whether it is anxiety, feeling lonely, stuck, disconnected, moving through a transition in life, difficulty in relationships, it is often unhealed or unexpressed emotions combined with belief systems that hold us back and cause further pain and hurt. Everyone has a story that deserves to be heard and we all need to feel we matter and are cared for. Unnati is here for you and together with clarity and understanding we can move through those pieces at your pace to be able to find peace, calm and connection on the other side.

Being a counsellor is Unnati’s calling and purpose which she discovered through experience. To be there as a support system for someone is a privilege and honour for Unnati. Her goal is to help her clients to believe in their own potential and see their own light, and pave their own path to their happiness and calling.

Unnati works with various interventions from different counselling modalities and therapies. She combines them based on the presenting issue, making it an eclectic and holistic approach.

Unnati brings compassion, empathy with an open and non-judgemental heart to help her clients find authenticity and true connection with self and others. A safe and warm space where you can be who you are without any doubts. She is here to support you in living a purposeful life by being fully present, alive and the best version of yourself.

Looking forward to our connection!!
