Melody’s Treatment Philosophy

I view counselling as a collaborative and supportive process focused on your healing and growth. Our sessions will focus on exploring tools that will help you reach your goals, reduce stress, release past painful experiences, and improve your relationships – including the one you have with yourself! It is my intention to provide you with a safe space and emotional support. I will gently challenge you, encourage you, and celebrate your wins with you along the way. Together, we will examine the patterns that may be holding you back, and work towards creating a more meaningful, connective, and joyous life.

I practice from an anti-oppression, justice-oriented, feminist, transpersonal & relational perspective. I view us as being much bigger than the stories we tell ourselves from an egoic perspective. I believe in a holistic approach to counselling focusing on the wellness of mind, body, and spirit, paying particular attention to each client’s unique situation & needs.

“Working with Melody helped me to define my goal safely and possibly. This was a very rewarding process for me, I felt held with so much care, attention, and encouragement. I felt understood, seen, and safe while having her on my side. I realized that I am stronger than I thought and that I can do hard things. She makes me realize all the possibilities and keeps me motivated to keep going toward my goal. I highly recommend working with Melody if you are looking for changes inside and outside of your life. It is scary to go towards that path alone and having her by my side makes it easier, enjoyable, and exciting.”
